What we believe about God will determine what we do and how we live. Scripture has many examples of men and women who are willing to be part of His plan. They didn’t have extraordinary skill, or extraordinary faith. They simply knew who deserved their loyalty, their honor and their praise. D. L. Moody summed it up best when he commented that, the world is yet to see what God can do through the life of an ordinary man who is totally surrendered to Him.
It is difficult to remember that God wants a real and personal relationship with us when we’re busy doing everything ourselves. Remember, anything that steals our joy is not of God.
The lie that we’re used to believing is that our pain comes from Him. Brothers and sisters do not be deceived. Sin will try to make itself a part of your life. The enemy works hard to make it all seem like a very normal part of our lives too. Until we almost forget that it’s there . . . but we always feel and see the pain that it brings.
Jesus came to break us free from bondage. Sometimes bondage can be a habit. Whether it be a habit of addiction, guilt, greed or worry; Christ’s blood has the power to deliver us. Whatever your struggle is today know that our God is the God of love, restoration, blessings and hope.
Who We Are
Wendy Jones is a working mother of two school-aged children. Her personal testimony of God’s faithfulness through infertility inspired her to create TotallyGod.org. She hopes that others can find hope and encouragement through Tim’s podcast messages, as well as share their own story of God’s faithfulness.
Tim Helland Articulates God’s Word clearly with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to members of Bethesda Christian Church. His goal is to enhance current spiritual relationships and encourage new lives for Christ.
What We Believe
Jesus is the son of God, that he died on the cross for our sins. Jesus was resurrected and sits at the right hand of God. If we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts we shall be saved ~ Romans 10:9. Salvation comes by faith, not by works.
